GAMECO Completes China Southern Airlines Fleet Cabin Refit
GUANGZHOU July 30, 2010 – Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Company, Ltd. (GAMECO) announced that they have designed, certified and completed a branded Premium Economy Cabin refit for China Southern Airlines. GAMECO performed this cabin refit program on 273 aircraft in the China Southern Airlines fleet covering seven aircraft types including B777, A330, A321, A319/A320, B737NG, and B757, and GAMECO completed the design, certification and installation of the refit program during the first seven months of 2010, with installation being accomplished during overnight turns by teams from GAMECO at the various line stations of China Southern Airlines. According to Yuan XiFan, Deputy General Manager of GAMECO, "GAMECO is very pleased to be able to use our strong engineering capabilities and Designated Modification Design Organization Representative (DMDOR) Authorization to provide this type of support to our major customer, China Southern Airlines. These capabilities enable GAMECO to provide increased value to our customers in addition to our significant capabilities and experience in maintaining aircraft.” Mr. Dong Su Guang, Executive Vice President of China Southern Airlines, said, "By working with GAMECO on the branded Premium Economy Cabin upgrade to our fleet, China Southern Airlines was able to realize significant savings, while offering our customers a high quality Premium Economy service.
