Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company Limited, established in October 1989 with initial investment of over USD 160 million, is a joint venture between China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. and Hutchison Whampoa (China) Ltd.

GAMECO has over 6,000 domestic and foreign staff and specializes in aircraft overhaul, line maintenance, component repair, engineering service, part manufacture, aviation material management, and training services etc. Our maintenance capabilities cover the mainstream aircraft types all over the world. GAMECO performs heavy maintenance for more than 250 aircraft every year and provides services to over 40 airlines domestically and internationally, and undertakes the main aircraft maintenance business of China Southern Airlines.

 
GAMECO’s Phase I hangar takes up an area of 96,000 square meters and the Phase II hangar has been put into operation since November, 2013, with 67,000 square meters in size and total investment of CNY 580 million. Now the Phase III hangar will be completed and put into production at the end of 2021, with a total construction area of approximately 98,400 square meters.

 
With the vigorous development of civil aviation maintenance market, GAMECO has expanded operations to Shanghai, Chongqing, Qingyuan, Shenzhen, Shantou and Beijing Daxing, etc. With the establishment of branches in Australia and New Zealand in 2018, GAMECO became the first domestic MRO operating overseas, consolidating the foundation for overseas strategic layout. Currently, GAMECO is launching projects such as new Component Business Center, Composite Repair Center and Phase III hangar, etc., with total investment of CNY 300 million.
