GAMECO Announces Contract With China Postal Airlines
GUANGZHOU, June 1, 2010 – Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Company, Ltd. (GAMECO) announced that they have signed a contract for Maintenance and Engineering Services with China Postal Airlines for three (3) years. The new contract covers GAMECO providing line maintenance, base maintenance, engineering support, material support, and component repair and overhaul for China Postal’s fleet of B737-300F and B737-400F aircraft as well as any new additions to the China Postal fleet in the future. Yuan XiFan, deputy general manager of GAMECO, said, "China Postal Airlines is growing to support the economic needs of China and GAMECO sees them as a very important long-term customer for our business. It is important to us to have partners who will commit to support our business and future growth.” GAMECO is a leading Part 145 MRO jointly approved by CAAC, FAA, and EASA, providing an extensive range of MRO services for B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, A300, A310, A319, A320, A321, A330 and EMB 145 operators located in the Asia-Pacific region as well as globally. Based at the Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China, GAMECO today has a four bay wide body hangar and is beginning construction of an eight bay narrow-body hangar. GAMECO is a joint venture between China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. (CSN) and Hutchison Whampoa (China) Ltd (HWCL) from Hong Kong.
