GAMECO winning the "MRO of the Year" award of The 5th China Aviation Maintenance Red Crown Award

On  April 13, 2023，the 16th MRO China Summit was held in Xi’an, China. GAMECO was granted “MRO of the Year” award of the 5th China Aviation Maintenance Red Crown Award by the Summit, which is the third time GAMECO won this award following two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021.

 

 

Dr. Marc Szepan, General Manager of GAMECO, received the award on behalf of GAMECO and delivered a speech on the topic of  High Quality & High Performance Development——Post-Covid MRO Development.

 

Dr. Marc Szepan has stated that the global aviation industry is experiencing a significant recovery, which will lead to a stable growth period in the MRO market. In response to the strategic goal of high-quality development and national policies related to MRO in China, GAMECO has formulated a high-quality development strategy, focusing on four aspects: Products, People, Customer, and Capability.

 

 
In line with strategic initiatives, GAMECO has expanded its capacity and scale. The phase III hangar which can accommodate 11 wide/narrow body aircraft has been put into operation in December 2021. Additionally, the most advanced component business center with the strongest comprehensive capacity in China and the full-chain one-stop composite repair center with the deep repair process of autoclave were also inaugurated in October 2022. Furthermore, GAMECO has established five Cargo Conversion lines for B737, B767, and ARJ21. In addition, the company has taken a comprehensive approach to enhancing its technical capabilities, with a focus on digitalization and information management."

 
With the theme of “Overcoming difficulties and looking forward to the future”, exchanges and discussions were held on hot topics of concern to the Chinese Airlines and MRO industry during the MRO CHINA Summit. Now during the post-pandemic era, GAMECO believes that the recovery of the aviation industry is coming.
