Sign Strategic Partnership MOU
To Establish High Quality and Innovative Hub Airport

 

 

December 19th afternoon, Shenzhen Airport Company Ltd. signed strategic partnership MOU with Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company (GAMECO), to jointly provide high quality maintenance and ground services for domestic and overseas airlines operating at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, with principles of advantages from parties, win-win partnership, and joint development.  Executives from CAAC South China, Guangdong Safety Supervision Bureau, Shenzhen Safety Supervision Bureau, Shenzhen Airport Company Ltd and GAMECO attended and testified the signing ceremony.

 

Since the decision making of strategic positioning of international hub airport at 2016, Shenzhen Airport put more resources into international business.  On 2019 it realized passenger volume of 50 Million, 5 Million of which took international flights; it has had over 60 international routes overseas; all indexes were breakthrough.  In the coming 5 years, Shenzhen Airport Company Ltd will actively cope with challenges of Covid-19 pandemic, capture the strategic opportunities of building of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Demonstration Pilot Zone for Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, bench mark with world 1st class, fabricate new pattern of company development, build Shenzhen Airport a high quality international hub airport, as well as world 1st class airport operator, with strategy of “innovation, one body two wings, and excellent management”, and take the historical mission of servicing the regional economic and social development.

 

 

GAMECO closely focuses on the development strategy of "building a world-class MRO", with the strategic orientation of "internationalization, scale, intelligence and branding", vigorously develop comprehensive capabilities of airframe overhaul and modification, line maintenance, component repair, engineering, material management and training.

 

According MOU, the cooperation between Shenzhen Airport Company Ltd and GAMECO, will take advantage of Shenzhen airport's platform and GAMECO's maintenance capabilities, qualifications and branding, provide comprehensive and high quality aviation maintenance ground service for domestic and international airlines, push forward development of Shenzhen Airport toward a high quality and innovative international hub airport.

Shenzhen Airport Company Ltd. is a listed company in Shenzhen Stock Exchange since April 20th, 1998 (Stock Code: 000089).  It is exclusively launched by Shenzhen Municipal Airport (Group) Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company (GAMECO) is a high-tech enterprise in Guangdong Province, an AEO enterprise recognized by Guangzhou Customs, and awarded as an AAA-level enterprise with harmonious labor relations in Guangzhou. GAMECO is also awarded as a Top Ten MRO in the world in terms of the airframe maintenance man-hour by AVIATION WEEK. In recent years, closely focusing on the development strategy of "building a world-class MRO", with the strategic orientation of "internationalization, scale, intelligence and branding", it vigorously develop overhaul and modification, line maintenance, component repair, engineering, material management and training. By now, the new hangar phase III, with total construction area of 90 thousand m², and capacity of doing airframe works on 6 wide body aircrafts simultaneously, has been capped and will put into operation by the end of 2021. The construction of aircraft component maintenance base (New CBC and CRC) with a total construction area of 54 thousand m2 has been started and is planned to be put into operation in 2022. By then Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company’s capabilities and capacities on airframe heavy maintenance, component repair and composite repair will be significantly improved.
