Guangzhou Customs’ First Paperless Tax Bill Successfully Piloted At GAMECO

At 00:00 of November 19th, a "Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Customs Import Tariff Special Customs Payment Letter" was printed out at GAMECO, which symbolized the completion of the first bill of customs clearance of imported taxable goods handled on line. This marks that the final step of paperless reform of Guangzhou Customs has been fully straightened out, and that Guangzhou Customs has fully realized paperless documentation and on-line processing.

 

In recent years, GAMECO and Guangzhou Customs have carried out pilot cooperation on various "Internet + Customs" reform projects, mainly including "single-window paperless declaration", "self-reported and self-paid" data test, China-Europe "Secure and Smart Trade" project for “The Belt and Road” Initiative, paperless air pre-declaration test and tariff guarantee insurance test. The reform projects have been promoted and carried out throughout Guangzhou after the success of pilot tests, which plays a very positive role in the customs affairs.

 

The implementation of a number of customs reform projects has greatly streamlined customs clearance procedures and saved a lot of customs declaration and cargo warehouse fees for enterprises. As a cooperative enterprise of Guangzhou customs, GAMECO pioneered the use of the new policy and enjoyed the shortened customs clearance period, which brings benefits to both GAMECO and GAMECO's customers.
