GAMECO Signed Cooperation Agreement with Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone on Aircraft Component Repair Center Project

On the morning of April 25, GAMECO signed a cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone at China Southern Airlines Pearl Hotel on aircraft component repair center project. Mr. Sun Xiuqing, Director of Administrative Committee of Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone, Mr. Ren Jidong, Vice President of China Southern Airlines Company Limited, and representatives from GAMECO management attended and witnessed the signing of the agreement.
In the next three years, GAMECO will invest 573 million RMB to build an aircraft component repair center with total construction area of about 60,000 square meters in the Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone, including the most advanced "one-stop" aircraft component repair center and domestic leading aircraft composite repair center. The capabilities will cover mechanical, pneumatic, electronic/radio, automatic test equipment/instrument, IFE, electrics, hydraulic, wheel hub/brake, fuel, hot air, air circulators and thrust reverser, etc..And the center will also carry out international cooperation and independent research.
The construction of GAMECO's new aircraft component repair center will fundamentally solve the current dilemmas of the existing repair workshops due to the obsolescence of the workshop and the constraints of capacity development. It will also help develop the in-depth repair capabilities of composite materials that are urgently needed for new aircraft types. The repair capability upgrade, and capacity expansion of GAMECO component repair center will enable GAMECO to provide China Southern Airlines and third-party customers with more high-quality and more efficient component repair services, and to contribute to the overall core competitiveness of component repair in the future.
According to the plan, the component repair center project will start construction in 2019 and be put into production in 2022. It is estimated that the annual output will reach 1 billion RMB after five years of production.
