GAMECO Completed 100 Aircraft C-checks for FedEx

 Milestone reached in Third Party Customer's Aircraft Maintenance

On Jan. 29th, 2016, a cozy little ceremony was hold in the Guangzhou hangars of GAMECO, to recognize its performance of the 100th C-checks on a FedEx aircraft. At the same time the re-delivery of N722FD to FedEx marks also the first time that GAMECO reaches this milestone of 100 C-Checks for a single customer other than China Southern Airlines.

 

It was just in 2008, when GAMECO signed the A300/A310 heavy maintenance contract with FedEx and finished the first A310 C-Check. In 2013, FedEx not only extended the contract, but also integrated GAMECO into its VPP scheme (Vendor Participation Process). This scheme allows in a partner approach to further customize services, streamline processes and evaluate performance.

 

Over the past 7 years, GAMECO has pursued continuous improvement, innovation and a step-by-step transformation of its mode of operation to ultimately increase productivity by 75% in return. GAMECO has further developed its IT-systems for task card and work flow control, so as to precisely control C-check schedule and improve on-time-delivery rate up to over 95%. On demand of our customer, GAMECO has also completed major structure modifications and specific repair work for FedEx.

 

In Oct., 2012, GAMECO started the 2nd nose-to-tail production line for FedEx and extended operation to three lines in Sept., 2013. In 2014, over a peak period of 7 months, there were totally 5 production lines operating simultaneously for FedEx C checks at maximum. Since August 2015, GAMECO also undertakes L checks for FedEx B767F, while still keeping in average 3 productions lines for Airbus C checks in house.

 

In addition, GAMECO provides all line maintenance services at the FedEx distribution hub in Guangzhou and through its bonded warehouse, it provides low cost and high efficiency material services to FedEx and other international customers.
