HM2 Structure Shop Finished the First Iridium Communication Modification on CSN Narrow-body Aircraft
14th December, 2015
Recently HM 2 Structure Shop has completed Iridium communication modification on CSN’s Aircraft B-5283 and B-6195, which is the first time for the Shop to perform communication modification on B737NG and A320.
Iridium communication MOD calls for structural modification on the top skin of the aircraft, fixing the iridium antenna base to match size of coaxial-cable on one hand and on the other hand improving the stress intensity on the modified area.
As reported, GAMECO HM 2 will continuously carry out Iridium communication modification on CSN’s B737s and A320 series, which will enable CSN aircraft to conduct ground-air communication globally including marine blind spots and improve safe operation of CSN fleet.
