A Taller Vertical Tail Dock in Paint Hangar

In preparation for A380 full paint business and with over 2-month’s joint efforts among relevant departments, GAMECO worked out a modification program for the access platform, including aircraft nose, back, underbelly, wing, horizontal tail and vertical tail, etc.

 

The self-designed and self-modified mainbody of the vertical tail dock was installed successfully on Aug 18, 2015. And the whole modification work for the dock was accomplished on Aug 23, 2015. After the modification, the vertical tail dock can reach from 20 meters to 22 meters, which can meet the requirement of A380.

 

This modification not only cuts down the costs, but will promote further business development in GAMECO as well.
