GAMECO Signs Contract with Southern Air for B747 Heavy Maintenance Check
(9 December 2005, Guangzhou, China) Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co. Ltd. (GAMECO) signs contract with Southern Air Inc. U.S.A. today for heavy maintenance check for the customer’s B747-200 aircrafts. The first aircraft input is expected to be at the end of December 2005. It’s the first time for GAMECO to perform the heavy maintenance check for U.S. B747 aircraft. The aircraft will be released to service in compliance with the FAA standard. At the contract signing ceremony, GAMECO General Manager, Mr. Thomas Tsiang said: “With full support of our professional engineering and technical staff, we are confident to provide world-class service to satisfy our U.S. customer.” Established in 1989, GAMECO is a joint venture between China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd. (CSN) and Hutchison Aircraft Maintenance Investment Co., Ltd. As a premier MRO services provider in China, GAMECO has obtained maintenance certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and many other airworthiness authorities in the Asia Pacific Region.
