Since June 6, 2012 , GAMECO is independently in charge of line maintenance and release flights of MEGA Maldives Airlines from Chengdu. This is the first time for GAMECO to undertake outstation line maintenance to 3rd customer. On June 1, Mega Maldives opens round-trip flights between Chengdu and Maldives. B767, maybe B757 in the future, is running this route. Flight frequency is 1 flight every five days. The airline says that there‘ll be appropriate adjustment in the future according to the market.

GAMECO started to provide fleet management service to MEGA Maldives since 2 years ago. Last November, the airline opened round-trip flights between Maldives and Chongqing, and became the first international 3rd party customer of GAMECO Chongqing.

In April this year, MEGA Maldives contacted GAMECO’s marketing and sales department, and informed GAMECO of opening flights to Chengdu, and intendancy of consigning the line maintenance and release of flights stopping over CTU to GAMECO. This means a whole new challenge, because GAMECO has never undertaken outstation maintenance before.

Leaded by GAMECO marketing and sales department and GAMECO Chongqing Base, all required departments started demonstrations and preparations. The day before setting sail, all was ready: marketing completed contract negotiation and signing; quality department received the authorization from customer timely. For arranging OJT, after discussion and acceptance, on June 1, engineers of the customer were responsible for the first flight. Since June 6, the second flight from Chengdu, GAMECO will independently offer line maintenance and release service. GAMECO Chongqing Baseis also fully ready. Engineers will be sent to Chengdu in advance to apply for airport passes and attend on-site training provided by customer.

In recent years, GAMECO’s line maintenance business of 3rd party has developed rapidly. For a greater and better brand of line maintenance, in spite of consolidating market of Guangzhou, headquarter of GAMECO, we need to carry on “going out” to develop outstation business
